Bodyguard: David Budd is given a radio by the police
WARNING: This article contains major spoilers from Bodyguard on the BBC
The BBC series closed with David Budd (played by Richard Madden) getting redemption for the death of Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes).
David got a happy ending after he was reunited with his estranged wife Vicky (Sophie Rundle) and their children. The closing shot saw the family happily driving off into the sunset.
Here’s our breakdown for the Bodyguard finale.

Craddock
Episode six revealed that David was set up to be the fall guy from the start after his was appointed by his boss Lorraine Craddock (Pippa Haywood) to be Julia's principal protection officer.
He was given the posting because of his link to Andy Apsted (Tom Brooke).
She had helped to orchestrate the Thornton Circus attack on Julia, which is why no police back up came for so long during the incident.
Craddock confessed she'd been secretly working for crime boss Luke Aitkens (Matt Stokoe).
Aitkens
Crime lord Aitkens only really came to the fore in episode five when David suspected that the organised crime boss could be linked to Julia’s death.
Aitkens wanted the RIPA '18 bill not to be passed through parliament because it would make his criminal operations more difficult to run. Essentially, the new law would make his illicit activities more visible to the authorities.
On top of that, the legislation would give more powers to the secret service, who were less transparent and unlikely to be bribed compared to members of the police.
Aitkens described Julia's death as "just business" and was revealed to the one who recruited David's old army buddy Andy to try to assassinate the Home Secretary at Thornton Circus.

Julia
Contrary to popular belief, Julia was dead and didn't rise from the grave in a last-minute twist.
Her killing was unofficially sanctioned by Craddock because of the threat she posed a threat to Aitkens.
Chanel Dyson
Chanel Dyson (Stephanie Hyam) was revealed to be working for Aitkens. Eagle-eyed fans will remember how she got into a car with Aitkens in episode one after getting fired.
She was the reason that David ended with a suicide vest strapped to his chest after he was knocked unconscious and the improved explosive device attached to him.
It's not known what happened to Chanel at the end of the show but she helped David to nail Craddock and Aitkens by setting a trap.
David promised she would get witness protection but we never saw anything further after she helped to nab Aitkens.

Richard Longcross
David tricked the secrets services by lying about the hiding place of the Kompromat.
He initially said that it was located above a spotlight in his flat, leading Longcross (Michael Shaeffer) there. The agent got a face full of burning chemical substance for his troubles and duplicity.
He was arrested by the police after he was apprehended while coming out of the flat.
However, the director general of the security services got a court order to release him and ensure secrets didn't come spilling out.
Stephen Hunter-Dunn
Speaking of which, Stephen Hunter-Dunn (Stuart Bowman) was working with acting Home Secretary Mike Travis (Vincent Franklin).
They were trying to send David down for Julia's death but ultimately failed.
The police leaked the Kompromat containing damming evidence about the prime minister to the public, leading Hunter-Dunn to resign.

Nadia Ali
In a huge twist, Nadia (Anjli Mahindra) was revealed to be the real criminal mastermind behind the 1/10 attack not her husband as we'd previously been led to believe.
She showed her true colours right at the end and admitted that she was the one behind the attack on David's kids' school.
Nadia had also made the suicide bombs, proudly declaring she was an engineer.
However, thanks to David's quick-thinking and stopping his vest from exploding, the police could recover forensics from the IED.
She also admonished David for underestimating her and thinking she was simply an oppressed woman coerced into terrorism by her husband.
Perhaps the most interesting moment came as she claimed that she had made up Richard Longcross because David was so eager for his theory to be correct. Could this be a coverup in itself?
Mike Travis
The acting Home Secretary seemed to get off scot-free after trying to pin the blame on David.
His big job was killing off the RIPA ’18 bill and continuing with his career while those around him fell.
Could he crop up in a possible series two - and even be PM the next time we see him?
David Budd
David finally got the treatment he needed for his PTSD and he was absolved of all crimes after being set up by his superiors.
The PPO also seemed to end on good terms with Louisa Rayburn (Nina Toussaint-White) as they shook hands. Could she become a future partner?
He got the answers he was looking for about Julia's death and now the door is open for another story.
