Dead By Daylight is a fantastic multiplayer horror experience, and one of the best aspects of the game is the collaborations with famous icons of horror. The original chapters are always good and creative, but it’s the licensed crossovers fans anticipate the most. Fans have plenty of fantasies for who they want to enter the dark mist, and here we are sharing our own wishlist of 7 licensed killers we want to see enter The Fog in DBD.

Before moving onto pure fantasy, Dead By Daylight fans have a couple of licensed crossovers to officially anticipate. The famous Lara Croft is joining as a survivor, and then we are getting CastleVania with Dracula as a killer. In addition to the arrival of England’s leading lady, the July 2024 roadmap includes the release date for 2v8 mode.

Tomb Raider and CastleVania are two iconic franchises collaborating with DBD soon. While these are official, there are many more licensed killers we hope will step into The Fog one day. Some feel plausible while others are probably nothing but pure fantasy.

7 licensed killers we want in Dead By Daylight

Below is our list of 7 licensed killers we’d love to see in Dead By Daylight:

7. Predator

The Predator feels like a real possibility for Dead By Daylight sometime in the future seeing as we have the Xenomorph from Alien. These are two iconic beasts that have crossed paths several times before in the world of movies, comic books, and even video games.

There was a conspiracy theory that the Skull Merchant was intended to be the Predator, but this mostly stems from gripes that the Skull Merchant is BeHaviour’s version of “we have Predator at home”.

Unfortunately, there are no leaks or rumors suggesting the Predator will ever happen, but it could be a good fit for the DBD universe. A survivor such as Arnold Schwarznegger’s Dutch definitely wouldn’t fit Dead By Daylight at all, but the Predator could very much work as an independent killer for perhaps a paragraph.

6. The Headless Horseman – Sleepy Hollow

While the Predator seems a real possibility for the future, The Headless Horseman is one we admit is very, very, very unlikely. Yet, despite the fact it is massively unlikely to ever happen, there’s no denying that the Headless Horseman would be an iconic and visually terrifying killer.

Sleepy Hollow is one of the most famous horror stories in the world of literature, and it has been perfectly adapted on a couple of occasions. There’s the terrific Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp, and there’s the wonderful short from Disney that has given plenty of children nightmares.

As per its namesake, the Headless Horseman is a man that rides a horse without, well, a head. Now, how do you blind a killer without a head is a genuine question, but a Headless Horseman killer could work as illustrated by brilliant concept shared on Reddit:

5. Patrick Bateman – American Psycho

Another licensed killer that is unlikely, but would be great for DBD, is Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Now he wouldn’t need the exact likeness of Christian Bale as merely a resemblance would suffice.

Dead By Daylight has killers that are purely monsters or completely supernatural, but it also has a couple of based-in-reality slashers like Michael Myers from Halloween and Ghostface from Scream. Patrick Bateman would certainly be an excellent addition to the slasher crew thanks to his portrayal in the American Psycho movie along with his terrifying conception in the Bret Easton Ellis novel.

There are several fan-made concepts of ideal perks for ‘The Psycho’ in Dead By Daylight, and Patrick Bateman would be a better fit for DBD than another killer desired by fans, Norman Bates from Psycho. A crossover with American Psycho is highly unlikely to ever materialize, but Bateman running through The Fog in his birthday suit while revving a chainsaw would undoubtedly be great.

4. Art The Clown – Terrifier

If you’ve never seen the Terrifier movies, whether we can recommend them or not depends entirely on how much gore you can actually stomach. You might think you can handle a lot of gore due to watching many horror and slasher movies, but Terrifier goes well above and beyond to where it’s one of the most fowl and gruesome movies of all time.

Both Terrifier and its sequel are great for fans of the horror genre, and Art The Clown is an unforgettable killer. There’s a supernatural element to him, but on the surface he’s just a sick freak guised as a terrifying clown in black-and-white.

There were rumors that Art The Clown would be joining Dead By Daylight, but these were shot down by Terrifier 2 producer, Steve Barton. Whether it’s too niche or gruesome to ever happen is certainly plausible, but, in theory, Art The Clown would be a great addition with Sienna Shaw a good survivor candidate.

3. Negan – The Walking Dead

Unlike the other items included in this feature, there are rumors that a Dead By Daylight x Walking Dead chapter is planned. Prominent leaker, Gumpy, usually leaves leaks in YouTube comments, and, while accurately leaking Lara Croft for the licensed survivor in July 2024, he also commented on the potential of a Walking Dead crossover by claiming, “AMC reached out back in fall but there wasn’t space for this year. They’re keeping it on ice waiting for the perfect timeslot”.

Gumpy has had a great track record for 2024 so far as they accurately leaked the Alan Wake paragraph at the beginning of the year, while also leaking details about the Unknown and Sable Ward. They leaked the Dungeons and Dragons crossover as well as CastleVania, and they also leaked Lara Croft. However, while their track record is good, a planned collaboration with The Walking Dead should be treated as merely an unofficial rumor rather than a leak.

Assuming a full crossover with The Walking Dead does happen as implied, Negan would probably be the best and most obvious candidate for a killer. Survivors are obvious with the likes of Daryl, Rick, and Michone, and BeHaviour Interactive could possibly do the Governor as a Legendary skin for Negan.

2. Jason Voorhees – Friday the 13th

It’s previously been impossible for Jason Vorhees to become part of Dead By Daylight, but now it is a real possibility. BeHaviour Interactive has made it verbally known that they would like Jason to step into The Fog, yet it’s never been legally possible before due to licensing disputes.

However, these licensing disputes are a thing in the past and Jason Voorhees is starting to step into other video games. He’s officially a part of the roster in MultiVersus, meanwhile, leaks show he will be in Fortnite, presumably for Fortnitemares this Halloween. There is also speculation that he will join Call of Duty as part of Activision’s annual Halloween event.

In May of this year, Horror Inc. announced an expansion of the Friday The 13th franchise called theJason Universe. The idea of the Jason Universe is to bring the slasher icon to other properties including the world of video games. Dead By Daylight would be the absolute perfect fit, so fingers crossed it actually happens now that it is legally feasible.

1. Pennywise – IT

It’s our number one most desired licensed killer for Dead By Daylight, but, unfortunately, it’s also unlikely. BeHaviour Interactive said they tried to get the Pennywise license but failed in 2019 as Warner Bros. weren’t ready to discuss the license and potential crossovers at the time.

There were posts in 2023 claiming there’s a Pennywise model within DBD, and, while supposedly true, it’s not something BeHaviour Interactive plan to release. They don’t have the Pennwyise license, but they were able to make a model because they’re not releasing it to the public. You can watch the Pennwyise DBD Iceberg by Schmuckles for more details:

While Pennywise seems unlikely, it’s one we and many fans definitely hope for in the future. Pennywise the clown is one of the most iconic monsters in horror history, and there is so much potential with his ability to shapeshift along with his fetish for red balloons. It’s not happening for the time being, but hopefully one day “never say never” materializes.
