The Hudson Judo Yudanshakai is a nonprofit organization founded in 1961 as the New York Yudanshakai. In June of 1993, we officially became the Hudson Judo Yudanshakai. Hudson Judo is an organization of New York and New Jersey dojos predominantly in the NY and NJ area, with several clubs located in other areas. Our goal is to promote the growth and evolution of Judo by offering venues throughout NY and NJ where students can safely practice, learn and compete in Judo. Hudson-sanctioned competitions are scheduled throughout the year and are offered at various member dojos and other venues. We invite you to check our Dojo Page and choose a practice facility convenient for you, join our organization and help us grow the Olympic Sport and martial art of Judo.

As a charter member of the United States Judo Federation, Hudson Yudanshakai has the rank promotional authority to award Judo black belts. All dan ranks issued by Hudson are certified by the USJF, and are eligible for Kodokan rank and certification as well. Hudson Judo and USJF rank criteria are among the strictest in the United States, and USJF rank continues to be held to the highest standard.

Hudson members have excelled in competition at the regional, state and national levels, producing many state and national champions as well as several Olympians and World Team members.

If your club would like to join the Hudson Judo Yudanshakai, please contact Hudson Judo President Boris Munoz or any Hudson Judo Officer listed on our Officers Page. Benefits of Hudson Judo membership include: athlete funding with participation, tournament operational guidance, participation in our many clinics and workouts and many more benefits.

Benefits of USJF membership include: national membership, Judo black belt rank certification, coach certification, criminal background checks for all Judo black belt instructors and coaches, sanctioned national events, liability insurance, and more.

Please add your name and e-mail address above so we can e-mail you and keep you up to date on Hudson Judo sanctioned tournaments, clinics, workouts and meetings as they are added to our calendar.
